Why Choose MHP-7371 Photoluminescent HTV
Photoluminescent performance: ISO 17398 Class C
Class C is the internationally recognized minimum luminosity grade for safety signage and evacuation systems. Afterglow tested to DIN 67510-1.
Bright, long and stable afterglow
Made with our strontium aluminate photoluminescent pigment, it has strong luminosity, long glow hour and fast charge time.
Clean finish after heat pressing
When heat-pressed onto garments, it delivers a clean and premium finish with no dark edges.
100% In-House Manufacturing & End-to-End Quality Control
As a leading manufacturer in the optical functional materials industry with 23 years of expertise, we produce not only the finished vinyl but also the strontium aluminate photoluminescent pigment in-house. We back our performance with scientifically measured luminance data, not just glow-hour claims.
How to Use Glow In The Dark HTV
We recommend pressing temperature: 135℃-155℃, pressing time: 9~15 seconds, pressure: 5~6 kg. Please wait until the glow in the dark HTV has cooled entirely before removing the PET protective film.
Note: Equipment and fabrics vary and you need to adjust the parameters accordingly. We strongly recommend performing a small trial press before proceeding with bulk production.
Frequently Asked Questions
No electricity or batteries are needed for it to glow. Our glow in the dark HTV is made with strontium aluminate photoluminescent pigment, which charges from daylight or indoor light and then releases that energy as an afterglow in the dark. It can act as an emergency lighting and safety back-up during emergencies or in dark environments.
MHP-7371 photoluminescent heat transfer vinyl meets ISO 17398 Class C: over 150 mcd/m² at 10 minutes and over 20 mcd/m² at 60 minutes.
The afterglow stays visible for over 12 hours, measured down to the 0.3 mcd/m² perception threshold. Always compare glow material by measured mcd/m² values rather than glow-hour claims alone.
ISO 17398 is the international standard that classifies photoluminescent (glow-in-the-dark) safety materials by how bright they glow and how long the glow lasts. Each class specifies the minimum luminance (mcd/m²) the photoluminescent material must maintain at 2, 10, 30, and 60 minutes after the light source is removed.
Class C is a sub-classification from ISO 17398, which is the afterglow intensity level required for safety signage and evacuation systems.
Our standard glow-in-the-dark HTV tape is 2 to 5 cm, we can also customize the width per your request from 1cm to 160cm.
Both are our glow-in-the-dark HTV with ISO 17398 Class C afterglow intensity.
MHP-8129 's surface also reflects, and offers higher wash and abrasion durability, while MHP-7371 has a smoother finish and softer hand feel.
