Why Choose MHP-8129 Photoluminescent HTV
Heavy duty: wash and abrasion resistance
The reflective glass-bead surface gives MHP-8129 strong wash and abrasion resistance, making it the right choice for hi-vis PPE, workwear, and clothing that face heavy laundering and daily wear.
Photoluminescent performance: ISO 17398 Class C
Class C is the internationally recognized minimum luminosity grade for safety signage and evacuation systems. This photoluminescent HTV has high luminosity, long afterglow hours, and fast charge time.
Clean finish after heat pressing
When heat-pressed onto garments, it delivers a clean and premium finish with no dark edges.
100% In-House Manufacturing & End-to-End Quality Control
As a leading manufacturer in the optical functional materials industry with 23 years of expertise, we produce not only the finished glow-in-the-dark HTV but also the strontium aluminate photoluminescent pigment. We back our performance with scientifically measured luminance data, not just glow-hour claims.
How to Use Glow In The Dark Heat Transfer Vinyl
We recommend pressing temperature: 135℃-155℃, pressing time: 9~15 seconds, pressure: 5~6 kg. Please wait until the glow-in-the-dark HTV has cooled entirely before removing the PET protective film.
Note: Equipment and fabrics vary, and you need to adjust the parameters accordingly. We strongly recommend performing a small trial press before proceeding with bulk production.
Frequently Asked Questions
No electricity or batteries are needed for it to glow. Our glow in the dark HTV is made with strontium aluminate photoluminescent pigment, which charges from daylight or indoor light and then releases that energy as an afterglow in the dark. It can act as an emergency lighting and safety back-up during emergencies or in dark environments.
MHP-8129 photoluminescent heat transfer vinyl meets ISO 17398 Class C: over 150 mcd/m² at 10 minutes and over 20 mcd/m² at 60 minutes.
The afterglow stays visible for over 12 hours, measured down to the 0.3 mcd/m² perception threshold. Always compare glow material by measured mcd/m² values rather than glow-hour claims alone.
ISO 17398 is the international standard that classifies photoluminescent (glow-in-the-dark) safety materials by how bright they glow and how long the glow lasts. Each class specifies the minimum luminance (mcd/m²) the photoluminescent material must maintain at 2, 10, 30, and 60 minutes after the light source is removed.
Class C is a sub-classification from ISO 17398, which is the afterglow intensity level required for safety signage and evacuation systems.
Both are glow in the dark HTV with the same ISO 17398 Class C luminosity.
MHP-8129 has a reflective glass-bead surface that adds higher wash and abrasion durability, while MHP-7371 has a smoother finish and softer hand feel.
