MHC-9371A Photoluminescent and Reflective HTV
MHC-9371A Photoluminescent And Reflective Heat Transfer Vinyl Description
EN ISO20471 & ANSI 107-2020 Reflectivity
OEKO-TEX 100
50X Wash Durability
MHC-9371A is our patented glow-in-the-dark and reflective composite HTV; it not only reflects light but is also self-luminous. Unlike traditional reflective materials that stop working in complete darkness, this HTV fills the gap: where there is light, it reflects, and where there is none, it keeps glowing on its own for over 12 hours (to 0.3 mcd/m²). The dual luminous functions not only enhance garment aesthetics but also ensure reliable safety and visibility.
MHC-9371A is non-toxic, non-harmful, and non-radioactive. It is a perfect fit for a wide range of applications, including hi-vis PPE, firefighter turnout gear, police uniforms, miner workwear, food delivery workwear, night running gear, and everyday casual wear.

Why Choose MHC-9371A Photoluminescent And Reflective HTV
Photoluminescent performance: ISO 17398 Class C
Class C is the internationally recognized minimum luminosity grade for safety signage and evacuation systems.
Reflective performance: EN ISO 20471 and ANSI/ISEA 107
Retroreflective tested ≥330 cd/(lx·m²).
OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100
We are the first Chinese manufacturer to pass the OEKO-TEX 100 standard for our glow-in-the-dark and reflective heat transfer vinyl and fabric.
100% In-House Manufacturing & End-to-End Quality Control
As a leading manufacturer in the optical functional materials industry with 23 years of expertise, we produce not only the reflective heat transfer vinyl but also the strontium aluminate photoluminescent pigment in-house. This vertical integration allows us to strictly control quality from the photoluminescent luminosity to reflectivity. We back our performance with scientifically measured luminance data, not just glow-hour claims.
How to Use Photoluminescent And Reflective HTV
We recommend pressing temperature: 135℃-155℃, pressing time: 9~15 seconds, pressure: 5~6 kg. After the reflective HTV is completely cooled, peel off the protective film to finish the heat pressing process.
The conditions should be adjusted according to actual production. Always run a small test before committing to production.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. The photoluminescent layer charges from daylight or indoor light, then releases that energy as an afterglow in the dark. So our photoluminescent and reflective HTV can provide reliable emergency lighting and guidance in the dark and emergencies. No electricity or batteries are needed.
The photoluminescent material we use in our glow-in-the-dark and reflective HTV meets ISO 17398 Class C: over 150 mcd/m² at 10 minutes and over 20 mcd/m² at 60 minutes.
It can glow in the dark for over 12 hours; time measured to decay to 0.3mcd/sqm, which is the lowest light level detectable by the human eye.
ISO 17398 is the international standard that classifies photoluminescent (glow-in-the-dark) safety materials by how bright they glow and how long the glow lasts. Each class specifies the minimum luminance (mcd/m²) the photoluminescent material must maintain at 2, 10, 30, and 60 minutes after the light source is removed.
Class C is a sub-classification from ISO 17398, which is the afterglow intensity level required for safety signage and evacuation systems.
Both are photoluminescent and reflective HTV.
MHC-9371A composites the photoluminescent and reflective material together. It cuts cleanly and works in a wide range of patterns, such as double stripe, single stripe, twill, staircase, honeycomb, and square.
MHC-9371B has an integrated structure, so it has a smooth and flat surface finish. It has a stronger afterglow intensity, and we recommend making it into a stripe design to maximize the glow area.
